Why I chose to be Hamilton
I quickly fell in love with Hamilton after being introduced to the soundtrack in early 2016. About a month later I saw the research potential of what was happening. That's when I started watching vidoes and reading articles and seeing photos about and of the show. I was fascinated by the costumes. Being me, I immediately started wondering what it would take to make some of them. I knew it was going to take a lot of work and some luck to get good shots of the costumes.
There's something appealing about the challenge of the period uniform coat. It's basically the same pattern as his suede coat, but it uses wool. I realize if I wear this to DragonCon, I'm going to need to limit my exposure to outdoors and have water on hand constantly. But it would be a striking, distinct costume.
