Getting startedI worked from the bottom up because that seemed like the logical thing to do. Especially since glue would need to dry before anything moved. I sectioned off the length into smaller chunks so I could more easily release a row at a time. Separated out the very first weft and pinned everything in place.

Finishing TouchesOnce I reached the lace top of the second wig, I realized trying to remove the wefts from it would be a pain in the butt that wouldn't be worth the struggle. Partially due to the amount of stitching that would need to be removed. Partially due to how closely spaced the wefts were. But I didn't want to lose that extra hair.
First, I cut off the empty structure left by the wefts. Then I carefully cut the skin top out, to create a hole through which I could pull the hair of the skin top on the base wig through. Once I lined up the addition with the base, I glued the hole in place around what I had pulled through, pinned it in place, and let it dry.

Finished! After drying overnight, I gave everything a good brushing to bring it together. Also to make sure everything stayed, which it did. I put in some hairspray throughout the length to help it lay nicely and hopefully cut down on tangles. I also did some spraying on top and in the bangs to get it all to lay the way I wanted. I am so happy with the density and fullness of this combination. It feels much more appropriate for the character.
